Roles

In order to be as flexible as possible to meet the needs of the tournament, we would like all volunteers to be trained in all roles they are capable of undertaking. This means that for the majority of you, no formal role will be given out until your first shift. It also allows us to be reactive to your needs and requirements and find something that you definitely enjoy doing!

You will get one scheduled break per day. If there is a particular task you are not happy with being allocated, please speak to your Lead or to Rob.

Scorekeeper

•       Sit alongside games with timer, whistle, scoreboard

•       Collect some stats from the game

•       If issues arise on the field radio Competition Director for support

Site Team

•       Ensuring water stations are refilled

•       Help to keep site clean & tidy

•       Set up / take down of event scrim, flutter flags, advertising

•       Some temporary gazebos to be erected / taken down each day

•       Directing cars in the car park

Info desk and ticketing team

•       Providing a warm welcome to all players, coaches and guests

•       Checking in teams as they arrive at the event

•       Answering questions for participants and spectators

•       Scanning tickets of spectators arriving on site

Transport

·         Ensuring participants, volunteers and staff can access the transport between accommodation and venue

·         Answering tournament-related questions where necessary

·         Directing participants to shuttle buses
